The 6th BESETOHA Choral Festival

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. This is Ishitsuka Masateru and Suyama Momoko from The University of Tokyo.
Thank you for your coming to The 6th BESETOHA Choral Festival.
This concert was accomplished with the great supports from many people, and I hereby show the gratitude for those supporters.

This BESETOHA Festival has evolved from the concert "Harmony of Youth" in 2002, which was held in Seoul and Tokyo between two universities -- Seoul National University and The University of Tokyo.
The success of this concert prospered to the plan of the concert among four major universities in Asia by inviting Peking University and Hanoi National University. Every other year, each university hosts the concert in turn, and now the BESETOHA concert has 10 years of history.
It is the second time of the festival in Tokyo since 2004.
We are glad that our friendship has not changed, and that it prolonged for such a long time.

Unfortunately, this time, it is among 3 universities without Peking University.
Although it is a big pity that they could not join due to the current circumstance, the truth is that the students from Peking University kept making effort till the last minute only to come to this hall.
Considering their effort, we ensured our friendship over 10 years and believe that the BESETOHA will keep going on in the future.

Quoting the words from the earliest students who founded the festival, "the virtue of choral music is to 'Listen to others' voices'."
Under the hardship of international affairs, we think it essential to make our hearts closer, and establish the unbreakable link "Kizuna" among us.
This is the very moment that the youth in Asia make one chorus and one harmony, and we would like you to feel such solidarity out of our performance.

Our performance begins shortly. Please enjoy The 6th BESETOHA Choral Festival till the end.
Thank you
